Garden maintenance in Dortmund and the Ruhr area

Regular or one-off maintenance for private gardens, residential complexes and commercial sites. You tell us what matters to you, and we take care of it.

Garden maintenance works best when it is done regularly. A lawn that is mown at the right intervals during the growing season stays dense. Hedges that are trimmed into shape twice a year do not go bare. Beds that are tended continuously are far less work than a garden that has to be “rescued” once a year.

That is why we mainly offer garden maintenance as a maintenance contract: together we decide which jobs are needed and how often, and then we come according to plan. We also take on one-off jobs, such as trimming a hedge or a spring clean-up.

Process

How garden maintenance works

  1. Site visit

We look at the grounds and note lawns, hedges, beds and any special features.

  2. Maintenance plan

You receive a plan showing which jobs are due when, plus a written quote.

  3. Regular visits

We come according to plan and, if you wish, document every visit.

  4. Annual review

Once a year we check together whether the plan still fits.

Good to know

Under section 39 of the German Federal Nature Conservation Act (Bundesnaturschutzgesetz), drastic cutting back of hedges is prohibited from 1 March to 30 September. Gentle shaping and maintenance cuts are permitted. We also look out for nesting birds and postpone a cut if we find a nest.

For owners’ associations we draw up the quote so that it can be put straight to a vote at the owners’ meeting.

What the cost depends on

  • Size of the lawn, bed and hedge areas
  • Frequency of visits
  • Accessibility, e.g. whether machines can reach the area
  • Amount of green waste and disposal
  • Condition of the garden at the start

We only quote a reliable price once we have seen the site. The site visit and the initial consultation are free and non-binding.

Questions

FAQ: Garden maintenance

Do I have to sign a fixed contract for garden maintenance?

No. You can book individual jobs. However, a maintenance contract is usually better value and easier to plan, because we can schedule visits into fixed routes.

Do I have to be at home during the visits?

No. If the garden is accessible, we also work while you are out. We agree beforehand how we get onto the property and where we may use water and electricity.

Do you take the green waste away?

Yes. We remove green waste and leaves and dispose of them properly. If you would rather compost it yourself, we can leave the material on site.
